Goal 10 : Reduced Inequalities

Reduce inequality within and among countries

Goal 10 focuses on reducing inequalities within all regions and all sections of the population. It aims to reduce inequality in all its forms and includes aspects like reduction in regional disparities, poverty eradication strategies, sharing gains of development in an equitable manner in economic, social and institutional spheres. The indicators capture, among other things, pattern of household expenditure, MSMEs owned/ led by SCs and STs, seats won in local, state and national elections, unemployment rate, crimes against SCs and STs, undertrial prisoners and expenditure incurred for the welfare of SCs and STs. These indicators speak about empowerment of vulnerable and marginalized section of society and directly address concerns related to the principle of 'Leave No One Behind'.
